  • in the case of Paid Services that do not provide instant access (including studio events and online events), you have requested it fourteen (14) days before the start date;

  • in the case of subscription-based Paid Services the cancellation process may take a few days, in order to avoid the next automatic renewal and respective charge the cancellation request should be made at least fourteen (14) days prior to the expiration of the then-current service period;

  • you have not completed and/or accessed (or attempted to complete and/or access) any Paid Services, including course content (e.g. videos and downloadable content).

For Studio and Online Events

If you request a refund outside of the fourteen (14) day cooling off period but earlier than fourteen (14) days before the start date, you may receive a partial refund at the sole discretion of South Coast Studio. The value of the refund will vary depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to the date the refund request is submitted relative to the start date and the administration fees associated with the event. We will confirm the exact refund amount, and we may offer our reasoning although we are not obliged to do so. For regular/nuisance refund requests from the same User Account we withhold the right to retain additional processing fees which will reduce the refund amount, the value of these processing fees will be at the sole discretion of South Coast Studio.

How to request a refund

To request a refund or cancellation click "Contact" in the menu bar at the top of this page to find out how to contact us, making sure to confirm your e-mail address, the Paid Service you would like to request a refund or cancellation for, and if applicable to order number.

When and how we issue refunds

When a refund or cancellation request has been received we will first check whether the request lies within the cooling off period and has been requested fourteen (14) days before the start date where applicable. We will also check whether you have completed and/or accessed (or attempted to complete and/or access) any Paid Services. For the Studio and Online events this will be determined using a participant register on the day of the event. For the Online courses this will be determined using the usage data we collect and store to monitor the use of restricted content. Each time a User launches, accesses and/or otherwise interacts with restricted content (content that is only accessible to paying members, for example online course videos) the e-mail address associated with that User Account is recorded and stored along with the time and date the content was accessed and/or interacted with, and an identifier confirming which content was accessed and/or interacted with. This data is collected and stored for the sole purpose of issuing refunds where appropriate. For further information about how and why we collect and store data please read the Privacy Policy.

Upon determining that a cancellation or refund is due to you under these Terms, we will issue such refund or cancellation within fourteen (14) days of our confirmation that such refund or cancellation is due to you. If you are entitled to a refund we will refund you via PayPal. Please note, if you are entitled to a full refund, the refund amount may be different than the amount you were originally charged to to change of currency exchange rates or fees you were charged by third parties. If we find that a notice of cancellation or refund has been given in an illegitimate attempt to avoid payment for services actually received and enjoyed, we reserve our right to still charge the User who provided such notice for any South Coast studio services actually received, as permitted by law.

Chargebacks

If, at any time, we record a decline, chargeback or any other rejection of a charge of any payable Fees on your South Coast Studio account ("Chargeback"), this will be considered as a breach of your payment obligations hereunder, and your use of South Coast Studio services may be automatically disabled or terminated.

In the event a Chargeback is performed, your User Account may be blocked without the option to re-purchase or re-use it, and any data contained in such User Account, including any User Content may be subject to cancellation and capacity loss.

In the case of subscription based services, your use of the South Coast Studio services will not resume until you re-subscribe for any such South Coast Studio subscription based Paid Services, and pay any applicable Fees in full, including any fees and expenses incurred by South Coast Studio for each Chargeback received.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding a payment made to South Coast Studio, we encourage you to first contact us before filing a Chargeback or reversal of payment, in order to prevent the South Coast Studio services from being cancelled and your User Account being blocked, and to avoid the filing of unwarranted or erroneous Chargeback, which may result in your being liable for its applicable Fees, in addition to re-payment of all the Fees applicable to the South Coast Studio services purchased (and charged-back) by you.

We reserve our right to dispute any Chargeback received, including by providing the relevant credit card company or financial institution with any information and documentation proving that the User responsible for such Chargeback did in fact authorise the transaction and make use of the services rendered thereafter.
