New dates to be announced soon

A student on the 'Art and Craft of Wood Graining' course, varnishing their sample board. This was a very confident first attempt at aged dark oak, well done.

New Dates Coming Soon

This course is designed and structured for people of all abilities to learn a basic understanding of the ancient art of faux marbling paint techniques.

New Dates TBA

July 05, 2019

On this course you will be shown how to prepare and apply gold and silver leaf.

This picture board was made from a single sheet of MDF board cut to size and given a driftwood style paint effect. As always I used water based acrylic paints and varnishes.

Sample boards completed on the decorative paint taster course held in the new studio during December. They all achieved a high standard of finish, especially as none of them had any previous experience, and I looking forward to seeing them again on other courses starting in the Spring.

One Day Intensive Marbling Course

May 2018

The day was very enjoyable and you taught us so much in a short space of time. I was quite nervous about attending, but you immediately put me at ease. I learnt so much in that time and I’m sure that is down to the teaching skills you possess. I achieved an end result that far exceeded my expectations.

I would have no hesitation in recommending you and your courses. Please keep me informed of any further courses as I would love to return to learn more.

One Day Wood Graining Course

November 2017

The course was great fun and was set in a very calm quiet studio. Simon was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tutor, who patiently guided me through the wood graining taster course. I was very happy with the paint effect I was able to produce with Simon's guidance and would be confident in performing the technique again.
